SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- At 2:51 a.m. last Saturday, Springfield police rushed to the parking lot of a convenience store at 1313 W. Battlefield Road because of reports of a man who appeared to have been shot in the parking lot. Officers found the man lying on the ground, bleeding and unresponsive.
