SPRINGFIELD, Mo.-- Springfield City Council member Thomas Bieker resigned his position Friday. The city says Bieker and his wife have moved outside the city limits, making him ineligible to serve. His resignation is effective immediately. Bieker was elected to council in April 20-11 and served in one of the at-large seats.
