Crumpled note left in c-store leads to probe of reported kidnapping

The note was written on a paper towel.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- City police are investigating a report by a woman who says she was brought to Springfield against her will and raped repeatedly.  The investigation started after the woman left a crumpled-up note at the checkout counter of a Kum ‘N Go store on East Sunshine Street near U.S. 65 on Saturday night.
